Back to Work

Today was my first full day after the three weeks of PTO and 2-hours-a-day work in the Day Jobbe. It's also what I think may be the hottest day of the year so far, with a high of 39° C. That's not so hot compared to some other parts of the country that are really baking away, but it's not fun. Fortunately, we got the carpet dried up sufficiently that this morning I was able to move the swamp cooler indoors, put water in it (and it doesn't leak), and set it to work. Combined with only 10% humidity, it works decently well to make things tolerable. Still, I'm clearly not recovered from Westercon and may not be for a while, so both Lisa and I are trying to get as much rest as possible before we have to ramp up for some more post-Westercon tasks.
