Returns and Orders
Jul. 12th, 2022 06:10 pmToday we needed to get to Reno relatively early in order to return things. First was Grainger (the most time-constrained), where last week we bought a specialty hand truck to move propane bottles — except it turned out that the cart was sized only for oxygen bottles, which are not as big as propane. We returned the cart and ordered the correct size cart. Once we have the correct cart, it will be a lot easier to take the 100-pound bottle of propane to Hanneman Service to refill, because it not only will fit on the hand truck properly, but the cart has an extra pair of caster wheels that will mean you don't have to keep it balanced on two wheels and you don't have to worry about dropping it the way we do now with a regular hand truck. It will be a while before the correctly-sized cart arrives, but we're not in a hurry.
Then it was over to Staples. In the end, we bought too much of some office supplies that were never opened or used, and I was able to return some of them. This is a relief because I definitely overspent our printing and office supplies budget, so anything I could return is good.
Lisa discovered that one of the things with which she stocked Hospitality at Westercon 74 she personally likes a lot — enough to justify buying a case of it — so we stopped by US Foods Chef'Store. Anyone can shopt there as long as they're willing to buy in case lots and the like.
Then it was up to Winco Foods for canned goods and other non-perishable items that we'd allowed to decline in our personal larder during the run up to Westercon.
Although the Astro's air conditioning works (thank goodness), it was still very hot and I am still running on low energy. At the rate I'm recharging, I won't be back to normal until we leave for Chicago!
