Ankle Report
Feb. 12th, 2023 09:16 amLisa says that if she really had to do so, she can once again put weight on her left foot, albeit gingerly. I told her (and she agrees) that she should not do so.
( Medical TMI: Swelling and Bruising )
Based on our online research, it appears that this is only a "grade 1" sprain, although there a couple of signs of the more severe grade 2, like that bruise. So if Lisa can keep weight off of it and keep it elevated and rest for a while, she should be back on her feet in a week or two. She can stay in her trailer, which has everything she needs for day to day living and is compact so she can get around carefully without putting weight on the ankle. I can fetch and carry as needed, of course.
Meanwhile, we're in the process of packing out of the hotel room in Sacramento. This room was, fortunately, quite accessible and workable for us, being laid out with enough room for Lisa to get around in her wheelchair and for me to be able to work from the desk without blocking her way. We may stay here again should we have overnight stays in Sacramento.
