Back Home Again
Feb. 13th, 2023 06:36 amWe left Sacramento on Sunday morning just after 11 AM. As expected, the weather was good and the roads mostly dry, as Caltrans had done their usual good work in clearing Saturday's snowfall.
( Still Snow Up Top )
Despite two rest stops, we were home in only 3 1/2 hours. Conveniently for us, the round trip took less than one full tank of gas, so I can go refill today here at home, where fuel prices are much cheaper than to the west.
Lisa continues to recover, but understandably is bored, as there's not much she can do but rest and keep her foot elevated. Meanwhile, it's back to work for me. Getting unpacked took extra time as I had to deal with my two work computers. I too them with me (but did not use them) on this trip because the last time I did a "weekend away" trip like this, I got stuck for several extra days, having to spend PTO I did not want to use. Not that I wanted to have another vehicle breakdown, but at least had it happened, I would have been able to work from my hotel room.
