Worldcon Trip Day 40: Out and About in Wales

We were traveling around Wales a lot today. However, we were out relatively late, and the photos I took will take a long time to upload, so I won't be able to do a photo essay about our trip today. I will catch up later if I can after the photos upload. I enjoyed today a lot, saw a lot of fantastic scenery, and visited some historic sites that I never expected to see. Even our mistakes led to good outcomes, as we ended up visiting an interesting nature reserve and getting a nice walk out of an earlier navigation mistake.

Meanwhile, contact between me and Lisa has been passing in the ether for the past couple of days. She's not been around when I call her, and I've been out of phone range when she calls me. We do have her housing straightened out until late September; unfortunately, unless someone cancels their reservation, we have a speed bump that will require her to switch between the long-term-stay hotel in which she's staying to the adjacent regular hotel owned by the same company, then back to the original hotel the next day. This is really annoying and time-wasting, of course. I'll be checking as we get closer to that date whether the long-term-stay place gets that necessary gap in their schedule. After all, the entire purpose of booking the place was to not waste days checking in and our of hotels.

Worldcon Trip Day 40, Part 2: Pictures from the Welsh Countryside

The light was fading as we left for the day, but we did get back before dark, just barely. No trains today, and we did fewer things than initially planned, but I'm very happy to have seen the things I did see. Not everything comes out in photos, but the memories will stay with me forever.
