Signs of Spring

A few days ago, we spotted the first lizard of the spring.



It wasn't moving all that fast, but fast enough that when Lisa walked down the sidewalk it got back under cover, then came back out to sun itself for a while.

The next couple of days are forecast to be quite warm, which should make the lizards happy, although what they'll do when the overnight lows go back below freezing over the weekend, I don't know.

I'm now picturing them pulling on wooly bedsocks and snuggling down under feather duvets with little mugs of hot chocoale close by.

I went out briefly this evening to check that I had left the windows on the car up (we have been having rain off and on), and a frog hopped across my path. I don't recall that happening before.
