It did snow overnight, but only about 2-3 cm rather than ten times that amount in the big storm in January.

Amtrak in the Snow

Amtrak came through about 2 1/2 hours late. I was not on the ball sufficiently and wasn't fast enough to shoot video.

Snow Clearance

Lisa, who did most of the snow clearance, informed me that I'd left the side door of the Rolling Stone open yesterday evening after I came back from getting stuff from Grocery Outlet, and snow got into the RV. Whether or not I managed to run down the battery as well I haven't found out yet. If necessary, we should be able to jump-start it.

Light February Snow

Lisa swept the sidewalk before I got up this morning, which was kind of her.

Natural Flocking

The little tree we bought for Christmas looks very cute with its natural flocking.

This afternoon, the snow turned to rain, which led to lots of slush. There may be more snow tonight, but it doesn't look like it should be much to worry about. Unlike California, we didn't get much wind either, for which we're grateful.

I still do not regret laying in supplies. They don't go to waste, and they make us more secure. Instead of worrying about the weather, we could shoot the studio version of the next Railway Legends, Myths, and Stories.

There's been some snow in/around Tokyo today (not where I live or where I travelled this morning to the west but still within urban Tokyo). However, more is forecast for tomorrow, sufficient amounts that my Japanese lesson got cancelled (my private lesson teacher travels in from the Tama Highlands area, the rural part of Tokyo out to the West which is higher ground, hence the name, and so train disruption is much more likely).
