I scheduled this fourth of nine laser hair removal treatment so that it would not conflict with my travel to Canada, and it was just convenient that it also missed Hands Off!

Laser Treatment 4 of 9

I'm surprised that I'm not covered in welts. The nurse-technician turned up the power to try and get at the harder-to-kill hairs, and it was particularly bad on my upper lip. I did apply the numbing ointment. Goodness only knows what it would have felt like without it. But I am glad to have less hair on my face.

The next treatment is in six weeks. See Kayla's journal for some behind-the-scenes information.

I may have said this before, but women get facial hair, too. It's a lot less, of course, but we do get some longer and often darker hairs, especially after menopause. There is always very short and fine hair as well. Some ethnicities are hairier than others throughout life. I shave my chin every 2-3 days. So if your laser treatments don't remove all of your facial hairs, welcome to the cleanup club!

This. My wife has a salt-n-pepper mustache, because menopause. She used to have to shave before going out. Now she just wears a mask, because cancer. I have a few stray hairs myself.
