Congratulations, Glasgow Central

Many of us who went to Interaction made our entry to Glasgow by train, through Glasgow Central Station. (Actually, I arrived at Glasgow Queen Street; I left through Central.) I know I was much taken by Central Station. It therefore comes as no suprise in the latest-issue-I've-received of Rail magazine to read in the results of the UK's 2005 National Rail Awards that Glasgow Central was named "Best Major Station of the Year."

I still wish there was more obvious signage to lead you to the overnight sleeper train to London, though.

Yeah... Kris and I got there about an hour early and were waiting in front of the "London Express" train instead of the Caledonian Sleeper... fortunately, someone wandered by and asked us which train we were waiting for and pointed us to the correct platform.
