My favorite flavor of Pringles, Screaming Dill Pickle, appears to have been discontinued. All of the places I usually stopped to buy them don't have them on the shelves anymore, and an online search seems to show the product as discontinued. I could order a few cases of them from remaining stocks, but besides not having enough space to store five cases of potato chips, I don't fancy paying $5/can (after shipping) for a product that cost half that in stores. Oh, well, too bad.

Sounds like a really cool flavour, too. Sadly, never made it to these shores (where it would have needed a new name: Brits call them gherkins).

On the bright side, that flavor probably has more salt than the others.

It seems like all my favorite snack foods are either limited release or quickly withdrawn.

I can relate -- I like Pringles and most certainly like dill pickles. It seems that things I prefer to buy disappear from the shelves with regularity. My all time biggest disappointment was Post Fortified Oat Flakes, which I ate and loved for many years, then *poof* they were gone forever.

When Kathryn & I used to live in Chicago, we loved Pringles, but when we moved to Oregon, they just weren’t the same. We concluded that the Midwestern Pringles were made from deciduous wood pulp and the Oregon ones were made from Douglas Fir. But that was many years ago, I don’t know what they make them from now.

That's strange. I just checked the Pringles website, and they still have it listed. And I was in a local supermarket earlier this afternoon, and it had the Screaming Dill Pickle Pringles on the shelves. Maybe it's just your store that isn't carrying them.

http://www.pringles.com/products/flavors does not have any pickles flavor in the drop-down menu that I can see.

Go to Products, then click on "Xtreme." The Screaming Dill Pickle is in that section.
