What Makes a Match Game Question
Jun. 22nd, 2011 09:01 pmWhile I'm looking for more Match Game questions, what I don't need are trivia questions. Remember that a MG question doesn't have a single right answer. It has a fill-in-the-blank answer where there are lots of reasonable ways to answer it, many of them funny.
Example of a bad question: "Einstein said, 'God does not play ___ with the universe.'" This is a bad question because it's a real quote and has only one right answer: "dice."
A good question looks like this: "Einstein said, 'God does not play dice with the universe; however, he does play ___ with it.'" This has no particular answer, but lots of possibilities. (We've used this question in the past, and it will likely turn up again.)
Update, 23 June 1300: Turned comment moderation on here and on the other thread on which people have been posting questions. I'd prefer they be e-mailed to me (my lj handle @livejournal.com will work or you can LJ message me). I'll not clear posts with actual questions in them.
