I tried to take it easy on Saturday, sleeping in (relatively speaking) and not rushing around. After lunch, I went over to Shoreline Park in Mountain View and walked about 5 km of their interpretive trails. Alas, it wasn't enough walking (or rather, I had too much lunch), as my blood sugar was up around 250 even with all of that walking. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the walk along the shoreline, and I will probably go do it again sometime.

Back when I worked at what was Sun Microsystems in Mountain View I made the loop around the lake more days than not... actually got four patents from the meditations I had there.

I love the outdoors, and my wife and I like to get out of the City for hikes, but we're relatively new to it. What's an "interpretive trail"? I've never heard that phrase in the Northeast.

It means that there are a bunch of signs along the path explaining the various bits of the marshlands and how they work. Maybe "nature trail" would be a better term? I'm just calling it what the signs call it.
