The sunburn is receding, as expected, but my spare time for writing trip reports was taken up today with downloading, uploading, and organizing documents for this post on the SFSFC website. And then after that, I had it pointed out to me that the corporate web site still had the wrong dates for both CostumeCon 39 and Westercon 74. How embarrassing! Although I suppose it shows how rarely anyone ever looks at those pages. Nevertheless, they are all fixed now.

In all fairness, there have been a LOT of 'moving parts' SFSFC has had to deal with in the past six months, so please don't feel too badly about accidentally missing a page! Definitely appreciate the fix. :)

I started to read the legal documents, just out of curiosity, but was absolutely flummoxed that a person could claim simultaneously to be "a believer in small government" and "a Trump supporter". It's probably just as well that I'm not a judge, because I would be throwing out cases right & left on the grounds that the plaintiff is an idiot — whereas I understand that, under our American system, idiots are supposed to be entitled to equal justice under law, the same as everyone else.

Not addressing the individual in question for what I hope are obvious reasons: Based on a lot of Trumpettes around where I live, what they mean by "small government" is

No taxes for me!

Government leaves me alone (but goes after people I don't like).

I get all of the benefits of government (paved roads, clean water, fire and police protection, etc.), but I don't have to pay anything for them.

I can say or do anything I want without any consequence whatsoever, but people I don't like must be silenced, preferably permanently.

And probably some other things, but they all amount to "I get mine, and to heck with you."

Things like clean water and safe roads exist magically because 'Murrka! The idea of people having to make them exist or defend them from harm doesn't register.
