Logging Out

This afternoon, Lisa and I tackled unloading the rest of the latest pallet of firewood.

Lisa continued to hand me one log at a time, which I put in our wheelbarrow and transported around 24 logs at at time to the wood box. When we started the job yesterday, the only logs we had was the rear rank, which at the time was about as high as the front rank was here after we finished.
It's always a reassuring feeling to have a full woodbox. Our temperatures are lately ranging between around -7° and +7°C, and it takes extra firewood to keep the living room (which is also my office) habitable.
After we finished the wood work, Lisa drove the minivan around to the far side of the property, where we unhitched the utility trailer and chained it to the fence, as is our usual practice.
